Internship Vacancies


Our regular positions entail the following tasks:

Outreach Coordinator:

  1. Create a monthly newsletter

  2. Identify and contact potential partners relevant to TBYW through ongoing research and evaluation

  3. Research and assist in developing plans for expanding the TBYW presence online and offline

  4. Communicate with other TBYW branches to assist shared mission and presence

  5. Reach out through various channels to encourage the formation of new TBYW branches

  6. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our public presence

  7. Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)


Workshop Coordinator:

  1. Planning and organising consciousness-building programmes at the Tuesday workshops

  2. Communicating and collaborating with workshop guests and presenters

  3. Managing the ticket sale

  4. Representing the message of TBYW during the workshops

  5. Ensuring all materials are present and setting up the space

  6. Collecting feedback from TBYW community and continuously improving on our content

  7. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our workshops

  8. Being available every other Tuesday evening from 17:00-21:00 as well as 3 additional hours at flexible times during the week and participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)


Cultural Program Coordinator:

  1. Planning and organising consciousness-building programmes at the Wasteless Culture dinners (e.g. documentary screenings, debates, guest speakers, workshops, quizzes)

  2. Communicating, collaborating and receiving guest speakers, documentary makers, fellow initiatives, musicians

  3. Representing the message of TBYW during the dinners

  4. Ensuring all materials are present and setting up the stage

  5. Facilitating discussions during Cultural Monday Dinner

  6. Collecting feedback from TBYW community and continuously improving on our content

  7. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our community dinners

  8. Being available on Mondays from 16:00 – 22:00 as well as 3 additional hours at flexible times during the week and participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)


Facebook Coordinator:

  1. Attend and report on our activities

  2. Create engaging content such as stories, posts and snapshots

  3. Maintain our facebook account on a daily basis

  4. Reflect and develop on our social media strategy

  5. Communicate with other team members and coordinate their contributions to social media channels

  6. Communicate, collaborate and regularly meet with the media team

  7. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our social media presence

  8. Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)


Instagram Coordinator:

  1. Attend and report on our activities

  2. Create engaging content – stories, posts etc.

  3. Maintain Instagram account on a daily basis

  4. Communicate with other team members and publish their content

  5. Communicate, collaborate and regularly meet with the media team

  6. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our social media presence

  7. Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (Tuesdays 9:30-11:00)


Team Coordinator:

  1. Recruit volunteers and interns

  2. Keep our vacancies up-to-date on various platforms

  3. Keep the volunteer work schedule up-to-date and manage the attendance of volunteers

  4. Arrange the introduction of new volunteers

  5. Receive and assess incoming internship applications

  6. Interview the prospective interns

  7. Communicate between TBYW and the sending institution i.e. the university

  8. Guide the immersion of interns

  9. Any other activity that you think will help the TBYW team

  10. Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (Tuesdays 9:30-11:00)


Blogger:

  1. Write blog posts on a weekly a basis on TBYW-relevant themes, e.g. citizen activism, food security, education, environmentalism, cooking etc.

  2. Attend and blog on our events

  3. Interview related projects and write about them

  4. Keep our website up to date

  5. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our online content

  6. 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)


Photographer:

  1. Attend our events and take pictures

  2. Edit photos

  3. Communicate with and report back to social media manager for coverage of our events

  4. Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and the visualisation  of our work

  5. Around 5-10 hours/week at varying times, depending on the event schedule, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (9:30-11:00)
