In the current global climate, the importance of sustainable practices and food security can hardly be overstated. Today, we would like to introduce our collaboration between us and a remarkable organization that has been leading the charge in these areas: Support + Feed.
As TBYW, we have been dedicated to the reduction of food waste — a pressing issue given that approximately one-third of all food produced globally is wasted or lost. We take an innovative approach by rescuing food that would otherwise be discarded and transforming it into nutritious meals that we serve at our wasteless dinner. Our commitment extends beyond just reducing waste as we also promote plant-based diets, workshops, comedy nights and educational initiatives like zero waste caterings.
From the other side of the Atlantic, we have initiated a collaboration with Support and Feed. This American organization has a unique mission: to facilitate the support of plant-based food systems globally. They collaborate with foundations worldwide that create and distribute plant-based meals to local communities. By doing so, they not only promote sustainable eating habits but also support local economies and provide essential nourishment to those who need it most.
Both TBYW and S+F demonstrate the power of sustainable, plant-based food systems in addressing two of the most pressing issues of our time: environmental sustainability and food security. Their work is a testament to the significant change that can occur when we rethink our food systems and choose to support sustainable, plant-based alternatives.
